In bioinformatics project student can actually apply their software application skills, with or without wet lab and in silico knowledge and design primers for particular genes (protein coding and other genes) and then get an opportunity to work on analysis of DNA sequence generated through primers they design. For protein coding gene, detail analysis can be done to explore protein structure prediction and functional relationship of predicted structure.
